Cashless Person-to-Person Payments.

Capitec wanted to explore a simple alternative to cash for real-time payments between individuals. The experience had to be secure, easy to use and suitable not only for personal payments but also for micro-merchants.

I designed a QR-code-based payment concept that allowed customers to initiate person-to-person payments through the banking application. A recipient could display a QR code on a phone or use a printed code for the payer to scan, making the approach accessible to individuals and small traders without specialised point-of-sale equipment.

• Designed a simple mobile experience for real-time person-to-person payments.
